US Terms of Service

Terms of Service for US customers ordering the Phāros Route Check.

1. Provider and scope

The Phāros Route Check is provided by:
Duncan Fullarton

c/o POSTFLEX PFX-983-571

Emsdettener Straße 10

48268 Greven

Deutschland

These Terms of Service apply to US customers who order the Phāros Route Check through this website or Stripe Checkout.

Phāros is a digital decision-support service for private Cyclades island and route planning. It is not a travel agency, tour operator, booking service, reservation service or package travel offer.

When these Terms say “Phāros”, “we”, “us” or “our”, they refer to Duncan Fullarton as provider. When these Terms say “you”, they refer to the customer ordering the Phāros Route Check.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.

2. Service description

The Phāros Route Check is an individual written assessment of a Cyclades island or route decision based on the information you provide and the information reasonably available at the time of review.

The report may include recommendations on island fit, route viability, travel pace, ferry and transfer logic, season realism, budget realism, mobility, weak spots, keep / remove / add recommendations and next steps for your own booking decision.

The contractual service includes the creation and digital delivery of the written Route Check report and the optional 20-minute online consultation described in Section 8.

Sample reports, report previews, screenshots and excerpts on the website show possible formats only. They do not promise that your report will have the same scope, islands, structure, graphics or recommendations.

3. Your information and responsibility

You are responsible for providing complete and accurate structured information during the Route Check flow and checkout.

The Route Check uses structured inputs such as travel dates, travel length, group, budget feel, planned islands, existing bookings, travel pace, preferences, and functional mobility preferences such as short walking distances, fewer stairs, fewer transfers, or no rental car.

The public Route Check flow does not contain an open narrative free-text field for travel or health information. Phāros does not request diagnoses, medical conditions, or other health data and does not need that information to provide the service.

Do not send diagnoses, passport or identity-document data, full payment-card details, or other unnecessary sensitive information by email or through the scheduling tool.

If required information is missing, unclear, inaccurate, or changed after ordering, usefulness may be limited and delivery starts only after all required information is complete. Material changes may require a new Route Check.

4. What is not included

The Route Check is not a booking, reservation, travel agency, travel brokerage, tour operation, travel insurance, legal advice, medical advice, safety advice or visa/passport advice service.

  • Booking hotels, ferries, flights, rental cars, activities or restaurants
  • Checking live availability, live prices, booking rules, cancellation conditions or real-time schedules
  • Making, changing or cancelling reservations
  • Providing day-by-day travel planning, emergency support, travel guiding or support during the trip
  • Guaranteeing weather, ferry operations, opening hours, safety conditions, third-party services or travel outcomes

Any references to islands, regions, ferries, restaurants, activities, booking platforms or other third parties are non-binding orientation notes only. You book all travel services independently and directly with the relevant providers.

5. Ordering, payment and total price

The Route Check is a one-time purchase. Before you continue to Stripe, you are shown the core service, total price, delivery period, and links to the applicable Terms, Refund Policy, and Privacy Policy.

By using Stripe's payment button, you submit a binding paid order for the Route Check at the total price displayed immediately before payment. A contract is formed when payment is successfully confirmed and Phāros sends the order-confirmation email.

For US customers, prices are displayed in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Unless a separate tax line is expressly shown in Stripe Checkout, Phāros does not collect US sales tax for the order.

Phāros does not receive or store full card numbers. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under Stripe’s own terms and privacy information.

6. Digital delivery

The Route Check is delivered digitally by email, usually within 24 hours and no later than 48 hours after successful payment and receipt of all required information.

The 48-hour period runs in actual hours on all days, including weekends.

If required information is missing, we may ask a brief clarification question. The delivery period starts after the required information is complete.

7. Voluntary Money-Back Guarantee

We want you to feel confident trying Phāros. If your delivered Route Check does not help you make a clearer travel decision, email us within 14 days after delivery and we will refund the price you paid.

No questions asked. Please include the email address you used for your order. We may ask for optional feedback so we can improve Phāros, but you do not have to provide a reason to receive the refund.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or card provider, it may take several business days for the refund to appear.

The guarantee applies only to the Phāros Route Check service and does not guarantee a perfect trip, specific travel outcome, prices, availability, ferry schedules, weather, opening hours or third-party services.

8. Included optional 20-minute consultation

After delivery, you may book one optional online consultation of up to 20 minutes at no additional charge to discuss the delivered report.

The consultation is part of the contractual service and is limited to understanding and clarifying the same report, route, travel period, travelers, and original question.

Scheduling is handled through Calendly or a comparable scheduling tool. The consultation takes place online through the meeting link provided during scheduling.

We will make at least five appointment times available within 14 calendar days after report delivery.

If you do not book an offered time within that period, miss or cancel a booked appointment, the consultation opportunity is considered unused. We do not guarantee a customer-requested reschedule or later appointment.

If we cancel or cannot conduct a booked consultation for a reason within our control, we will offer a replacement time.

The consultation does not include a new route review, a different travel period or travelers, live availability checks, booking support, reservations, travel management, or ongoing trip support.

9. Third-party information

Ferry schedules, prices, availability, opening hours, local rules, entry requirements, safety conditions and travel conditions can change at any time. The Route Check is based on the information available at the time of preparation.

Phāros is not responsible for contracts you enter into with hotels, ferry operators, airlines, rental car companies, restaurants, booking platforms, activity providers or other third parties.

10. Intellectual property and personal use

The Route Check report and related materials are created for your personal, non-commercial travel decision. You may use them for your own trip planning.

You may not resell, publish, systematically copy or commercially exploit the report without prior written permission from Phāros.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Route Check is an orientation and decision-support service. It is not professional legal, medical, tax, insurance, safety or travel-agent advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Phāros is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, lost enjoyment, lost travel opportunities, third-party service failures, changed prices, unavailable bookings or changed ferry schedules.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where liability cannot be limited under mandatory law.

Some states do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. In those states, the exclusions and limitations in these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by applicable state law.

12. Governing law and mandatory consumer rights

Phāros is provided by a Germany-based sole provider. These Terms are governed by German law to the extent legally permissible.

This choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot be waived under the law applicable to your place of residence.

13. Communication

We communicate primarily by email. You are responsible for providing an email address you can access and for checking spam or filtering settings.

You can contact Phāros at hallo@pharos.guide.

You agree to receive order, payment, contract, delivery, support, refund, and legal records electronically at the email address you provide. You may save or print those records for your files.

14. Changes, contract documents, and severability

The legal documents applicable to your order are captured at checkout and attached to your order confirmation email where applicable.

Later changes to these Terms apply only to future orders unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
